Back yard memories a poem by Elise Smith (Brooke)

Back yard memories

The blue house, my father’s favorite color.

A walnut tree house to hold my doll's parties.

The tyre swing was made for me with pure love.

There stands my para pool, with a blow-up ‘ducky.’

Just me, my Dad and Mum live here, just us three.

Mitzy is my dog and my best friend, whom I love.

We have a bountiful vegetable garden.

The neighbor's Ruth, Melanie, Queenie, and George,

And the lady with the chicken farm is close by

I feel young and fancy-free. All this for me?
