Tell me a bit about yourself….

Live in a small Pennsylvania called Altoona. I have three German Shepherds, August, Sofia, and Rey.

What genre/s do you write in?

To be honest, I write whatever pops into my head. I lean towards Mystery with Romance. I dabble in paranormal suspense, but the other day a simple romance story popped in my head while waiting for a McDonald’s coke.

How long have you been writing?

Writing since I was in high school, I went to sleep one night and I had a dream about a young lady and her need to find her brothers. I woke up the next day compelled to tell her story.

Do you have any published books or articles? Tell me a bit about these and what publishing route you took.

I chose to be an Indy Author.

The first poem I wrote was published in the high school literary magazine.

When I was in college, I wrote a poem called Bound

I have two novels out.

Because of You and For You

Missing Locket, which I co-author with my critique partner Cynthia Carver. We took her character from Small Bit of Justice (which is published) and my characters from Because of You.

Several short stories in Anthologies

The Rewrite

Karma Girl

All I Need Is You

Kaleschope Memories

The Great Gamble

Currently working on Tethering through Time, the prequel

Did you use an editor? If so who?

Yes, I need one. Sometimes my brain and fingers are working so fast I miss words.

Did you use a book formatter and cover designer?

I use Dabble and it formats books easily but yes I have a cover designer several, actually.

Did you self-publish or get traditionally published? How did this go for you?

Self Publish--

How do you market your work and promote your brand?(Include links)

At first, promoting was difficult, but I am learning. I do have BookFunnel and StoryOrigin (storyoriginapp.com) Natalie Freese has several places but Hit Publish! | Facebook. She is amazing.

What social media and writing platforms would you recommend? I recommend

Hit Publish! | Facebook I love Natalie

Do you use an agent?

No

Do you use paid advertising? If so what?

I recently went with a PA because they know where to go.

Do you have a blog or website?

Working on one

What inspires you most to write?

Writing saved my life. I do not know what else I’d want to do. Just when I think there are no more stories, one comes along.

What do you do to help with writers block?

I go for a drive or play a video game.

How do you plan your writing and start?

I really don’t plan--I write the important parts then come back to put them all together.

Because of You happened when I had to write a tension scene for college

Is writing your full time job? If not what else do you do?

I wish but I currently work as CSR tech support for Directv.

What are you working on at the moment?

Tethering Through Time is my current story. I had this story floating in my head about a ghost town and a woman named Gypsy.

What is your target audience?

Not real sure, I am welcome to any audience right now.

How long does it take you to write a book?

Well, When the Wind Blows took about two years to write and I walked away from it and decided to go to college.

Because of You, took a bit longer because I lost the original story and had to piece it back together.

Since I decided to join several anthologies I learned to put out stories quicker so every three months I can do a short story.

When did you first discover you enjoyed writing?

After I wrote When the Wind Blows, I went to meet up with a Romance Novel. her evidence was quit writing go live a little.

So I took her evidence.

Several years later, after a wild night and a fight with a boyfriend, I came home to kick something, and my manuscript of When the Wind Blows dropped down. I picked it up, reading it again, I realized what was missing—writing. So when I say writing saved my life, this is the event that made me realize writing is my dream.

What is your writing schedule look like?

The morning after feeding my small zoo and nighttime after work.

What does your family think about you writing?

My brother is also an author, and my nephew Aidan is going to college to become an English professor.

My cousin Mike always encourages me.

What do you do when you are not writing?

Spend time with my dogs.

Where do you get information and ideas for your writing?

When writing a story I do research but I also find people who can give me insight. It’s the best kind.

What do you think makes a good story?

When I read the Stand--I couldn’t move kept reading all thousand pages. I went into Stephen King’s and JK Rowlings

They both could take you away and they, as an author, did their job.

in order to write, you have to be able to tell a story—you must be a storyteller first.
